Fitness Center Orientations
If you want to work out in the fitness center and weight room but are unsure how to operate the equipment, schedule a Fitness Center Orientation. Orientations cover how to use the Precor™ treadmills, ellipticals, steppers, and cycles, as well as the Icarian™ line of selectorized weight equipment and the Hammer Strength™ machines. Please see the Fitness Specialist at the community center to arrange your orientation.
Fitness Assessments
Receive baseline fitness tests and a consultation with certified staff, and compare yourself to the national norm. Fitness evaluations include testing heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardio respiratory fitness, and flexibility. To track fitness progress, assessments are recommended every three to six months or at the start of an exercise routine. A full assessment takes approximately one hour. Please wear gym shoes and shorts or comfortable pants. Contact the Fitness/Sports Supervisor at 513-229-8555 to schedule your fitness assessment.
