The following rules and regulations for the Mason Community Center shall be observed at all times, and will be enforced by City of Mason staff.

The following are prohibited:

  • Fighting or disorderly conduct.
  • Using language that department staff determines is insulting, vulgar, or disrespectful to another.
  • Smoking cigarettes, cigars or pipes, or using tobacco products.
  • Possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages of any kind on city and/or school district property.
  • Possessing guns, knives, or other weapons which could cause serious physical harm.
  • Bringing dogs, cats, and other pets inside the facility, except those that are required for mobility assistance.
  • Loitering in parking lots.
  • Amorous behavior.
  • Soliciting.

In addition:

  • Persons who damage, vandalize, or steal property belonging to the City of Mason, Mason City School District, and/or a facility/program participant will be referred to the Mason Police Department for prosecution.
  • Bicycles and motorcycles must be parked outside the facility, only in the designated areas.
  • Shoes and shirts must be worn in the facility at all times, except as permitted by activity or facility use (e.g., locker rooms, swimming pools).
  • Any youth ages 10 to 16 must have a Youth ID card or pass visible at all times. Admittance to the facility will be denied if a pass is not shown.

For your safety and enjoyment, area-specific rules and regulations have been established and posted. Participants are required to abide by these rules and regulations or risk the loss of their use of the facility, without a refund of fees.
