The City of Mason has a master plan for future city parks. The city has 301 acres of developed parkland and about 180 acres yet to be developed. The sites that are included in the master plan are:

• 1.9 acres on Brewer Road near Crooked Tree that were formerly used for a wastewater lift station
• 4.5 acres on Mason-Montgomery Road on the south side of Lakeside Drive
• 1.4 acres at old Stitt Road off Tylersville Road,
• the Gould Property (49 acres at the end of Main and Church Streets),
• the Castle Property (126 acres near the corner of Route 42 and Bunnell Road)
• former State of Ohio property (23 acres on Route 42 near Snider Road)
• a Muddy Creek Corridor along Muddy Creek from Mason-Montgomery Road to the Biehle property and running parallel to Route 42

Each of the sites offers a unique setting and landscape features that, recognized and celebrated, will help to develop unique places that capture citizen interest and make them enjoyable places to be or go to for specific activities. Implementation of the plan will take place over many years.
