Join the City of Mason this year for family oriented activities and giveaways in celebration of Arbor Day! The City of Mason will be hosting a celebration beginning at 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 29 at Mason Community Center. The Arbor Day celebration is free and open to the public.

The event will feature activities for all ages to enjoy. Kids are welcome to create an Earth Day craft sponsored by Mason Public Library and learn about the importance of water in the ecosystem by visiting the interactive education trailer provided by Warren County Water and Soil Conservation District. Patrons will also have the opportunity to sample healthy foods from Juice Plus and Great Harvest Bread.

Applications for Mason Community Garden will be available at the event as well. If you want to start your garden this spring, be sure to stop by and get top quality black garden soil from The Big Yellow Bag Company or free seedling giveaways from the City of Mason. Mason Kiwanis Club will also have donation barrels located in the lobby of the Community Center where patrons can recycle lightly used clothing and household items for families in need.

Take advantage of the spring weather with a walk through one of Mason’s seven beautiful parks, or play a round of championship caliber golf at the Mason Golf Center.

There is still time to get involved! If you’re interested in a free opportunity to be a vendor at the City of Mason’s Arbor Day Celebration, please contact Dan Chambers at dchambers@masonoh.org or 513-229-8555.
